MET Museum Mobile App UX/UI Case Study

Programs used: Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Google Slides, Google Sheets.

This project was created in 2023. At the time, the MET Museum had not updated their mobile app since it’s creation in 2014. It had felt abandoned and could be reimagined in 2023.

In my personal exploration of the Met Museum App on Android, the experience was unintuitive and clunky. The original application did not feel like a Met application while also being an advertisement for the New York Area rather than the MET Museum.

This exploration challenged me to create a mobile Hi-Fi prototype and use the design established by The Met to ensure it speaks clearly of them, seeks to provide a more easy-flowing mobile app experience for all ages, and is accessible for all.
